Hello World.

After wandering in the digital wilderness of the open-source world for over three years, my roaming thoughts and scrolling terminal logs finally have a place to settle. This is Kokode.su, a small corner that has just recently found its home.

Architecture and Subsystems (Host & Sub-Systems)

Hi there~ My name is Yui『由依』. A few years ago, out of curiosity, I typed my first Linux command, and不知不觉 I’ve been wandering in this open-source digital world until today.

If my spiritual world were compared to a physical server, then Aozora『青空』 would be the most fundamental host machine (Host OS / Bare Metal). It’s a broad conceptual collection, like a kernel that accommodates multiple subsystems,承载 all my interests and possibilities.

And what you’re seeing now, me, is the “subsystem” codenamed Yui『由依』.
Yui『由依』 is the instance currently allocated the most computing resources on this server, fully responsible for the technical side of operations. Perhaps someday in the future, the host machine will also allocate new storage space, mounting “virtual machines” named Yuki『由纪』 or Aoi『葵』 to record daily life or present completely different perspectives.

But for now, please treat this as Yui『由依』‘s “Single-User Mode” testing ground.

About Yui’s Linux Journey

As a purely interest-driven person, I am the sole maintainer of this blog and the one typing away in front of the terminal. I’m not good at writing elegant code (because I simply don’t know how to code 😅), but I enjoy the sense of accomplishment from solving various底层 errors and configuring servers.

From officially接触 Linux in May 2022 until now, I’ve been like a digital nomad crossing the boundaries of countless distributions:
CentOS -> Ubuntu -> Debian -> Kali Linux -> RedHat -> Rocky Linux -> Fedora Linux -> Arch Linux -> openSUSE…

Through all the折腾, stepping into countless dependency conflict pits, fixing broken bootloaders countless times, I finally settled on Gentoo Linux (and occasionally switch back to Arch to visit old friends).

This blog is a product of 2025, recording my transition from “wanderer” to “recorder.” This is not the end of learning; rather than being a showcase for achievements, it’s more like a shelter where I can briefly pause and rest while waiting for emerge @world to compile.

• Server Logs: Pits stepped into while messing with various services. In my spare time, I’ll summarize them into blog posts, hoping to help passing friends.
